Most people have spent years managing a problem that was caused by their hair care, not by their hair.

Sulfites in your shampoo strip the scalp's protective oils. Your scalp then overproduces oil to compensate. Your roots get greasy faster, you shampoo more aggressively, and the stripping continues. Meanwhile, the silicone in your conditioner coats your strands to fake the moisture the stripping removed. Over time the coating thickens and your hair goes flat. It starts to lose its body. You reach for more conditioner and the buildup grows.

This is the cycle. It is not your hair type. It is the chemistry you have been using on your hair. And it can stop.

Jadu — Founder Story
Inspired by a grandmother's love
When nothing was safe enough.

When Anna Asi's grandson was born with severe allergies, she turned to what her family had always known. Five generations of botanical recipes, refined over more than a century. She spent years working to bring that heritage to everyone - formulating a shampoo clean enough to trust, powerful enough to work.

The Science

Why it works

Shampoo

Genuinely sulfate-free

Most “sulfate-free” formulas substitute synthetic isethionates for SLS, a swap in name only. Jadu uses sugar-derived and coconut-derived cleansers that lift buildup without stripping color, curl pattern, or scalp moisture.

Conditioner

Genuinely silicone-free

Every conditioner at every price tier, including brands marketed as “clean”, uses silicone to fake softness and slip. Jadu uses BTMS-25, a conditioning emulsifier derived from rapeseed oil. Real conditioning. Verifiable on the label.

Shampoo + Conditioner

Softness from within, not coating

Pro-Vitamin B5 penetrates the hair shaft to hydrate and improve. No dimethicone film, no silicone buildup — just measurable softness that doesn’t wash away.

Shampoo

Bond support at the cleanse step

Low-molecular-weight wheat protein penetrates the cuticle to reinforce the hair shaft and reduce visible breakage, not in a separate treatment, but in the shampoo itself. A standard almost no formula in this category meets.

Conditioner

Plant-based bond care

Hydrolyzed wheat protein and BTMS-25 from rapeseed reinforce the hair shaft and reduce visible breakage at the conditioning step, no synthetic bond molecule required. The same structural support outcome as Olaplex, built entirely from plants.

Shampoo + Conditioner

Premium clean. Pregnancy-safe.

Free of silicones, phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde-releasers, sulfates, and synthetic fragrance. A standard no premium hair care brand currently occupies. Formulated to be safe across every stage: pregnancy, postpartum, and daily use beyond.

    No more dry damaged hair!!

I’ve been coloring my hair for years and now that I’m in my late 40s my hair constantly feels dry and damaged. No amount of hair masks, treatments or expensive conditioners did much. I’ve been using Jadu shampoo and conditioner for three weeks now right after a partial balayage. I have never seen my ends look this conditioned and healthy!! This is amazing!!! Because the conditioner is so rich, i can only go 2-3 days between washing but that is ok! Well worth the upside

    Cleans without stripping

I have color treated hair, so it’s important to avoid sulfates and chemicals that might ruin the investment. But also important to avoid chemicals that might trigger irritation or affect my long term health. Jadu Shampoo cleans without leaving my hair looking dry or damaged and helps to preserve my balayage

    Great for dry scalp

Was looking for a sulfate-free shampoo that actually cleans the scalp for ages. Found it. Great for Scalp and does not fade the color. Love it.

    Very rich and luxurious

Very well-balanced formula. Rich, creamy, and truly nourishing. Untangles hair easily, and my hair doesn't need a styling cream or oil after using it. The smell gets me excited every time :) Totally recommend.

    My thoughts

This conditioner is good but if I use too much it leaves a residue. It seems to be concentrated so I use a smaller amount.
