My curls used to feel coated and crunchy by day two. Now they're soft, springy and defined, nothing heavy.

Switched off silicones and the buildup is gone. My waves bounce back the way they used to.

I damaged my curls from heat styling and coloring. After using this for a few weeks, my curl pattern looks much more defined again.

The silicone trap

It's not your curls. It's what's coating them.

Most "smoothing" curl products lean on silicones — a film that fakes softness, then seals dryness underneath — wash after wash..

  1. 01

    The silicone coat

A plastic-like layer seals the strand. Moisture can't get in — curls feel soft for a day, then go thirsty.

  2. 02

    Buildup on your coils

Product layers collect at the roots and along the shaft — greasy scalp, straw-dry ends, and definition that disappears wash after wash.

  3. 03

    Your pattern drops

Weighed down and dehydrated, coils stretch out, frizz returns at the crown, and breakage shows up at the ends.

The Slow Infusion™ Method

Why your curls drink it in instead of sitting under it.

Real coffee beans, grains and botanicals, steeped at low heat in small New York batches — never high-heat extraction or chemical solvents. The subtle coffee aroma comes from the infusion itself, not added fragrance.

Why it matters for curls: gentle steeping keeps nourishing lipids intact so moisture can reach the strand — not sit on top of it.

FAQ's

Real answers about what's in the bottle, how it performs, and who it's for — no jargon, no filler.

No oil can weld a split end back together — once a strand splits, that section is done, and only a trim removes it. This split end repair oil stops the fraying from traveling further up the hair shaft and smooths the look of existing splits between cuts, so your ends hold up instead of unraveling.

You'll still need a trim to remove ends that have actually split — no product gets around that. What changes is how often. Less breakage means fewer new splits forming, so most people stretch from a trim every 6-8 weeks to every 10-12. If you're growing your curls out, that's the real win: less hair lost to breakage between cuts, not zero haircuts.

Depends on when you're applying it.

After your blowout: 2-3 drops. Rub between your palms until warm, then smooth from mid-lengths to ends — never the scalp.

Before bed: About 5 drops on average, more if your curls are long or thick. Sleep in a bonnet so the oil nourishes your strands overnight instead of your pillowcase.

Before wash day: Saturate your hair with around 10 drops the night before. Rinse it all the way out with your shampoo in the morning — this one's meant to come out, not stay in.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (coconut), castor seed oil, rosemary leaf oil, coffee seed oil, and a botanical blend — that's it. No silicones, no sulfates, nothing synthetic sitting on top of your strand pretending to be a fix. Leaping Bunny certified and vegan, so it's cruelty-free from source to bottle.

Coffee, rosemary, and castor oil — because that's what's actually in the bottle. No added fragrance, so expect an earthy, natural scent that fades as it absorbs, not a perfume note that lingers. If you're used to heavily scented hair oils, this will smell different — that's the trade-off for skipping synthetic fragrance.

Almost always a dosage issue — either too many drops for your hair's length and density, or layering it on top of a gel, cream, or mousse that's already sitting on your strands. Start at 2-3 drops post-blowout and only go up from there. And keep it off your roots — apply mid-length down, where curls actually need the moisture.

Oil on wet or damp hair traps heat against the strand instead of letting it release — that's what actually fries your cuticle, not the blow dryer itself. Applying after your blowout means you're sealing in the smooth result, not cooking your hair while you style it.

No — it's formulated to absorb, not coat, which is why 2-3 drops goes further than you'd think. If your curls feel flat afterward, you're using too much. Curly hair needs moisture, not a heavier product on top of what you already have.

Both, just differently. As a pre-wash soak, it's a treatment — saturate the night before, rinse out in the morning. As a post-blowout finishing oil, a few drops stay in for shine and frizz control. Two different jobs, same bottle.

Your curl cream defines and holds your curl pattern. This oil nourishes the strand and seals the ends — it's not competing with your styling products, it's finishing them. Style first, oil after.

Most frizz is a moisture problem, not a humidity problem — hair reaches for moisture in the air when it doesn't have enough of its own. This works from the inside out, so give it the full 2-3 weeks of consistent use before judging. It won't fake a fix with silicone the way a lot of frizz serums do.

Read: Sulfates, Silicones, and Parabens — Should You Avoid Them?

Yes — the drop counts above are your starting point, not a fixed rule. Looser waves and 3a-3b curls usually stay closer to 2-3 drops; denser 4a-4c textures can go up to 5+ without feeling weighed down. Let your hair's density and length be the guide.

    No more dry damaged hair!!

I’ve been coloring my hair for years and now that I’m in my late 40s my hair constantly feels dry and damaged. No amount of hair masks, treatments or expensive conditioners did much. I’ve been using Jadu shampoo and conditioner for three weeks now right after a partial balayage. I have never seen my ends look this conditioned and healthy!! This is amazing!!! Because the conditioner is so rich, i can only go 2-3 days between washing but that is ok! Well worth the upside

    Cleans without stripping

I have color treated hair, so it’s important to avoid sulfates and chemicals that might ruin the investment. But also important to avoid chemicals that might trigger irritation or affect my long term health. Jadu Shampoo cleans without leaving my hair looking dry or damaged and helps to preserve my balayage

    Great for dry scalp

Was looking for a sulfate-free shampoo that actually cleans the scalp for ages. Found it. Great for Scalp and does not fade the color. Love it.

    Very rich and luxurious

Very well-balanced formula. Rich, creamy, and truly nourishing. Untangles hair easily, and my hair doesn't need a styling cream or oil after using it. The smell gets me excited every time :) Totally recommend.
